Some days I just feel so fired up by our Lord…. He is incredible. Please read below what came to me after starting the day with a group prayer. I just didn’t want to keep it in me..
how often does God give you revelations/wisdom?
“I am so happy, and I thank the Lord that you have again shown your care for me. You continued to care about me, but there was no way for you to show it. I am telling you this, but not because I need something. I have learned to be satisfied with what I have and with whatever happens. I know how to live when I am poor and when I have plenty. I have learned the secret of how to live through any kind of situation—when I have enough to eat or when I am hungry, when I have everything I need or when I have nothing. Christ is the one who gives me the strength I need to do whatever I must do. But it was good that you helped me when I needed help.”
Philippians 4:10-14 ERV
So it came to me to suggest you all to read Job. I am currently studying it in the last month and I think his story is applicable for us all in one way or an other.
Job is in this horrible situation and their friends came to comfort him. All of them starts to speak of some laws and rules which in itself are actually totally true (repenting, punishment, sins, folly… etc.) but non of them applicable to Job’s case. Job is not punished because he was a sinner and his friends are not speaking God’s heart to him. But Job has this certainty in God, and that is what I wanted to highlight to you all. He feels distant from the Lord getting so many bad things happening in his life but still knows his own heart and knows God for sure that He loves him and is not behind all this.
Even though seemingly all things his friends are telling him sounds 100% right, he knows himself and more importantly knows God so securely that he can be sure this is not his case what the friends are suggesting.
There are 3 learnings in it for me:
1️⃣ Job 9:32-33 highlights it even: “He is not a man, as I am, that I may answer Him, and that we should go to court together. nor is there any mediator between us” His entire story is about his own security in God, that his relationship with him is even brighter then those of “outsiders” of this relationship. Only him and God knows what is happening truly. I would like to encourage you all to seek answers from God himself. He wants to comfort you, wants to tell you what is up for you next, wants to let you know the solutions for your worries and problems… So turn to him.
2️⃣ In Philipians says “there was no way to show me” it applies in Job’s case as well. God was not present in his life at that season in the ways he wanted him to be there. He was there, but there were no signs of his love for Job in the reality… There were no blessing, indeed the opposite. But be sure HE WAS THERE. and Job did never lost hope… he always knew God is there, but he was a human so he suffered under the pressure of his situation. Yet he constantly remembered of God.
3️⃣ As in Philipians (“But it was good that you helped me when I needed help”) in Job as well comes up the true treasure of friends and other people in our lives. Even though in 1️⃣ I say turn to him for help, the Bible also says that Job 6:14 “To him who is afflicted kindness should be shown by his friend.” There is a certain power in the community and we have to be able to receive help from them. We have to be mastering decrement for sure, and combat our flash and ego, but God truly uses us to edify, support each other. Nobody is alone – not just because Jesus is with us, but we are here for each others.
So I pray that we all return to our secret place with God, for those who were called by “little signs” to go into fasting do so, for those who were called to pray in more do so, for those who were called to share do so. and I encourage us all to come together whenever we can… use the pieces God given to us, one by one, and put them together so we will get a glimpse into his mighty plan.
Let’s all do our parts. In the name of Jesus I pray abundant support in all our lives, amen.
another thing… God is super fast. He is quick. He can turn anything around in a moment. But most of the times he is slowed down by us.
He won’t do anything until we ask him, he is a gentlemen as someone said during Transform Conference 2020… He waits for us to ask the right thing. And that takes a while because we often slowed down by so many worries and doubts.. We doubt what we hear from him… who we are in our hearts.. who he is sometimes even that we doubt..
So I pray in Jesus name all these situations perish and we are entering peace and security in regards who we are, who God is and what his plan for us, Amen
